UC Irvine is the ninth campus in the UC system and ranked number 10 out of the nation's top 50 public national universities in U.S. News and World Report. The campus is located in Orange County about one hour south of Los Angeles and a few miles inland from Newport Beach. UCI is known for its outstanding research facilities and respected faculty. We are pleased to have had two Nobel Laureates in the fields of Physics and Chemistry as faculty members.
